The Self-Service & Kiosk Show 2005 Finalist in the Best Digital Display

InformationLogix Named Finalist in 2005 Kiosk Awards
Louisville, Kentucky - Wednesday, September 21, 2005 - InformationLogix was recently named a 2005 Kiosk Awards finalist in the Best Digital Display category. InformationLogix's entry, The HomeOwnership Center on DisplayPoint, is an exciting new breed of interactive digital display advertising which for the first time ties an interactive digital display to a robust database application to advertise and facilitate the sale of a complicated, non commodity product like a home or home loan. The 2005 Kiosk Awards received forty-two submissions from twenty-seven companies for the sixth annual contest which is sponsored by Kiosk Magazine.

The HomeOwnership Center on DisplayPoint is a home-finding software application that provides an infinite amount of real time, accurate and customized information about homes that are for sale using the Flash platform. Using a hosted environment with content on a resident server, the HomeOwnership Center finds and filters content from the Multiple Listing Service, the primary database used by the realty industry, to provide kiosk users with real time, up to date information about homes that fit their unique parameters.

The DisplayPoint kiosk is an elegant podium that supports a 40 inch Liquid Crystal Display and touch screen mounted in portrait mode to display the HomeOwnership Center application. This 40 inch touch LCD is the largest true touch screen on the market. Additionally, the size, clarity and 1/16th of a second response rate of the touch LCD provides a highly compelling and user-friendly format for interacting with application.

DisplayPoint also features backlit signage and a concealed full-size printer and paper catch so users can print and take away the results of their home finding search and specifically tailored information about financing options. Moreover, DisplayPoint has real time monitoring capabilities such as a low paper sensor and back up power supply as well as real time metrics tracking to check usage and improve content - all with an eye toward achieving the best possible customer experience.

Final judging took place at The Self-Service & Kiosk Show held on October 18, 2005.
